Roses of Honor – Connecting Community & Service
Every February, we organize a special outreach to local assisted living and nursing homes to recognize veterans and surviving spouses living in our community.
Volunteers present roses as a heartfelt thank-you for their sacrifice and service. These visits are not ceremonies — they are conversations. We sit, we listen, we share stories, and we build meaningful connections between civilians and those who wore the uniform.
For many residents, it’s a powerful reminder that their service is remembered.
For our volunteers, it’s a humbling opportunity to learn from living history.
This annual tradition strengthens the bond between our community and the veterans who helped shape it.
